I am a designer and a finder. I crochet, knit, sew, make jewelry & dabble in just about every craft known to man. I love to find objects to revamp and vintage treasures at Goodwill, garage sales, estate sales, flea markets, etc. What do I do with the things I find, make or repurpose? Well, I either sell them, give them as gifts, use them to decorate my home or I wear them.

Here is a freeform crocheted scarf that I designed. Can't wait to make some more. Thanks to Jenny Dowde, Reante Kirkpatrick and Prudence Mapstone for all of the inspiration.

Collecting Quotes
I love collecting profound things people have said so instead of putting them on fb I thought I would put them here. So here are a few of my most recent discoveries.
"You can kill a man but you can't kill an idea." Myrlie Evers
"Preach the Gospel constantly, use words only when neccessary." St. Francis (paraphrased)

BTW the clothes are not laundry. I use old sweaters and other used clothing in my projects.
A few of my very first knitting projects
No patterns. Just a lot of garter stitches and a few button holes.
My New Obsession
After many years of crocheti

After many years of crocheting, I have finally taken a knitting class and I am obsessed with it. This is my first project in which I followed a pattern. I saw the pattern in a magazine ad. I found the pattern by Tahki Yarns online as well as the Presto yarn, also by Tahki Yarns, in the same color as shown in the ad. I know the model in the ad is much prettier than Viola but I was pretty happy with the outcome of the beret. This is a birthday gift for my son's girlfriend, Erin. I am now working on the collar in a different but similar yarn that is nice but a little less pricey.

About Me
- Lisa Lian
- Thanks for checking out my blog. I have been crocheting and sewing for about 45 years. I learned from my grandmother and in 4-H. I started taking knitting classes about 5 years ago and I am obsessed with knitting. I am a self-taught jewelry maker. I also dabble in polymer clay and just about every other craft known to man. I love to go to garage sales, estate sales, flea markets and Goodwill. I love to take old things and revamp them in to something pretty or useful. I love to reuse old sweaters and clothing for the fabric, old jewelry and old home decor items. I like the idea of recycling and I also like to be able to make nice items without spending a lot on supplies. This, as well as being a pro bargain finder, helps me to keep my prices low. I am happy to take requests for special items You can find my items at lisalian.etsy.com.
